In every class, children will sing, dance, play instruments, laugh, listen, jam along, march, chant, clap, wiggle, make stuff up, pretend, use rich language and explore and expand each child’s amazing potential through the arts. The Music! The Learning Groove provides a research-based curriculum based on educational goals & objectives for early music education. The music used is from different genres from classical to rock and roll. Al also includes interactive poetry, drama and storytelling. In class, children learn the simple music enrichment activities that accompany the songs. The songs utilized repetitively in class.
“The Learning Groove is a Holistic Music Enrichment Approach.   I am interested in the whole child, and see music as the instrument (pun intended) to promote development in music aptitude, pitch, melody and rhythm, as well as language, imagination, motor skills, cultural awareness and creative expression.” Al Decant

NPNS Chapel time is when Ms. Mickie, Noroton Presbyterian Children's Ministries Director, and her associate, Ms. Liz, help our children learn about God through Bible stories, action songs, and special prayers. We want our children to know that God loves them, cares about them and that Bible stories help us all know God better. Parents are welcome to join us anytime.
